AMT Absolute Multi-Turn Encoders
CUI Devices’ AMT absolute encoders feature a 14-bit signed number turns counter
CUI Devices' AMT21 and AMT22 series are rugged, high accuracy absolute encoders with RS-485 or serial peripheral interface (SPI) communication outputting 12 bits or 14 bits of absolute position information. Offering multi-turn outputs, the turns counter for the AMT21 and AMT22 series is a 14-bit signed number plus two checkbits that track the number of rotations in either direction from -8192 to +8191 turns. Additional features are low current draw, high accuracy, an operating temperature range of -40°C to +105°C, and a compact package. Due to the capacitive platform, these encoder series are not susceptible to external contaminants, including dirt, dust, and oil, making them ideal for a range of harsh environments. These models also reduce mounting and alignment times due to the One Touch Zero™ feature, dramatically simplifying the assembly process.
