The DF64 series from Hirose is a horizontal-mating, 2-piece connector system that carries up to 5 A with 18 AWG cable. The horizontal-mating header and cable plug are applicable to a common receptacle in 2 and 3 positions. The contacts are enclosed in the housing to keep safely away from fingers. The wide effective-mating width and length increase dimensional tolerances in both the X and Y directions. This series has many advantages over other conventional connection systems. It has high reliability and workability, allows for a common PCB, and is a 2-piece structure.
