Micro:Bit V2 Evaluation Board

The Micro:Bit Education Foundation's version of the micro:bit board, supplied by OKdo, is centered around the Nordic Semiconductor nRF52833 BLE 5.0 microcontroller. In addition to the processor, the Micro:Bit Education Foundation has also doubled the Flash memory from 256 KB to 512 KB and increased the amount of RAM eightfold from 16 KB to 128 KB, as well as switched from a shared I²C bus to a dedicated I²C bus for peripherals. Along with all these changes, updated devices have been added to the board to offer additional functionality. The V2 version of the micro:bit now includes an onboard microphone with a speaker, a touch-sensitive logo, and an LED power indicator. The GPIO pins have also been notched to make alligator clip connections easier.

Designed with educational purposes in mind, the micro:bit can be programmed in a variety of ways. It can be programmed from a PC, laptop, tablet, or smartphone using C++, MakeCode, Python, or Scratch. The micro:bit is designed to be used from the most basic learning level to the most advanced users and can be used in addition to a number of devices, sensors, kits, and objects to develop endless projects.
