Ultrasonic Transducers for Gas Flow Meters and Anemometers

Unictron’s ultrasonic transducers for gas flow meters and anemometers have been developed for signal transmitting and receiving in one unit. Using Unictron's in-house piezoceramic and state-of-the-art patented technologies, the ultrasonic transducers offer high sensitivity and high precision with exceptional reliability over a wide operating temperature range from -30°C to +60°C. The transducer housed with PVDF material is FDA-compliant and free from corrosion by chemical solvents, which makes it well-suited to operate in harsh environments.

The gas or air velocity can be measured using ultrasonic transducers, based on the ToF (time of flight), which is the ultrasound traveling time difference between downstream and upstream in gas or air. It has been widely used in gas flow meters and anemometers.
