Coherent Demonstrates Laser Pulse Shaping in a WaveShaper

Coherent is demonstrating laser pulse shaping using the WaveShaper 1000S/SP Programmable Single Polarization Filter. Laser pulses at 1.03 μm wavelength with a length of about 20 picoseconds are shaped by applying filters in the amplitude and phase domain. Examples of generated shapes include compression of the pulses down to the femtosecond regime as well as generating Gaussian pulses and creating double pulses.
