3 Beginner Arduino Mistakes

I've taught beginner Arduino for over a decade, and these are the mistakes I see most often.
- Beginners typically bite off more than they can chew
- Beginners tend to make assumptions during prototyping
- Beginners sometimes underutilize their online resources
To avoid these mistakes, here's my advice.
- Take sensible bites. Work up to more complex builds by building simpler ones first. If you become overwhelmed and frustrated, you may never finish the project.
- Double-check everything. Don't assume the wiring is correct without checking. You might have made a simple error like mixing up power and ground or putting your wire in the wrong breadboard row. Make sure the pin you specified in the software is the same pin you wired up in hardware. Become a detective!
- Look stuff up. The Arduino site is a wealth of information with a reference section that explains every facet of the programming language in easy-to-understand examples. Even experts still look stuff up!
