Shown here is essentially a recap of the features and benefits discussed so far. One additional point not discussed thus far is that 3M™ VHB™ Tape allows surfaces made of materials with different thermal expansion coefficients to be bonded by allowing the bond line to slide to accommodate the differential expansion. A more rigid attachment system would create strong tensile and compressive stresses in the two bonded surfaces and potentially result in buckling or cracking.
