A MRI is an advanced imaging system that is able to produce high resolution cross-sectional images of the human body with the use of radio frequency pulses. The process involves aligning protons to the magnetic field within the equipment. A radio frequency signal is generated when the proton returns to the relaxed state. The generated signal is analyzed by a computer which produces an image.
