To aid customers in testing and development, ams OSRAM has developed an evaluation module that can be used to evaluate the IC. The buzzer sounds when a strike occurs and a distance estimation also appears on the LCD display. If a disturber is detected it is also identified and shown on the LCD display. A lightning emulator will also be provided with some different lightning waveforms at different distances to help demonstrate the capability of the lightning sensor.
