For reference, the ordering codes of the AS5048A and AS5048B are shown here. The difference is that the AS5048A has a SPI interface plus PWM output and the AS5048B has a I²C plus PWM output. The PWM output has a 12-bit resolution compare to the digital interface (SPI or I²C) where the 14-bit value can be read out.
