Welcome to the ADI Direct Digital Synthesis Tutorial, the Accumulator product training module. This tutorial focuses on the accumulator, the first of the three main building blocks of a basic DDS. There will be a discussion of the accumulator, in particular the accumulator overflow, and a review of the frequency tuning word. The standard and alternate DDS equations will be shown and examples of their application will be given.
