Operating at high frequencies means that noise propagation becomes a concern and the need to lower system noise becomes a priority. In response, CTS has developed a family of miniature PLL devices. These devices allow manufacturers to clean signals from noise that has been introduced while locking to a reference source, or while multiplying a low frequency to a higher frequency.
