Electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) are everywhere. Anywhere there are rapidly-changing electrical currents – vacuums and fans, variable frequency drives and switching power supplies – just about any electromechanical device. EMI and RFI can occur in nature, too, from the aurora borealis, or even the sun.
