Operating systems require significant resources: training, maintenance, and additional memory and CPU usage. Dynamic C extensions, like cooperative multi-tasking, remove the need for a complex RTOS for many embedded applications. Once the design is completed and tested, customers go into production using the same hardware upon which they tested the design. Unlike with a complex RTOS, Dynamic C runs on bare metal, so there are no delays or complicated interactions in the system.
