Establishing the right data connection once RF connectivity is established is the next task. The application needs to make a decision as to what node it will connect with. Nodes may be built by the same vendor and sold as a package, they can be programmed to connect only with each other or they can take a truly ad hoc methodology to connecting. Identifying the master is the first step in that decision tree. Once the ID has been made the next decision is whether or not to pair.
