As shown in the figure, the IEC 61000-4-2 level 4 standard requires the protection device to safely divert at least 10 positive and 10 negative ESD strikes of 8kV from contact discharge or 15kV from air discharge. CeraDiodes meet and exceed this stringent standard and are designed to have a long lifespan of several thousand ESD strikes.
