In a typical embedded solution, a master controller communicates with isolated and non-isolated DC/DC modules through a PMBus interface. Through this interface, the system controller can monitor output voltage, output current, input voltage and a range of module status indicators. It is also possible to set the output voltage as well as thresholds like UVP, OVP, and power good. Start-up and shut-down controls can also be enabled.
