For a GNSS aided Inertial Navigation System, the Gyroscopes and Accelerometers in the IMUs are used to provide rotation and acceleration. These rotational and translational measurements are used to determine position and attitude changes from one measurement to the next. This is useful during GPS or GNSS outages.
