One of the main advantages of an inductor-less switched capacitor architecture is the outstanding high conversion efficiency. This example shows the efficiency characteristic of the EC2650QI from a 12V input, generating a 6V intermediate bus voltage. The device provides a very flat efficiency characteristic with conversion efficiency way above 90% over the entire load current range and a peak efficiency above 94%.
