The most common application for the FI-R series is in displays where high speed differential signals such as LVDS are transmitted between the panel and main control/logic board. However, there are many other applications where transmission of high speed signals is required between a daughter board and main board. Examples of these include medical imaging equipment, set top boxes, copy and fax machines, and others.
