This slide shows the construction of the aluminum electrolytic can. There are three layers to this, the anode foil is where the current flows in from outside and a cathode plate where the current flows out. The anode and cathode plates are separated by paper impregnated with electrolyte. This is then rolled into the can, the manufacturing process will be shown in greater detail in following slides.
