The LEMO K Series uses seals, glands and a collet with round cable jackets to seal and retain the cable to the back of the connector. Item 5 is a cone washer; if the cable is a braided shielded cable, the braid is flared at this point for an effective 360 degree shield termination. Item 4 should be sized to fit the sheath of the round cable. Item 3 is the compression washer. Item 2 is the collet. The collet, when compressed, will grasp and retain the sheath of the cable. Item 1 is the collet nut.
