The LT3009 is easily configured as a high VIN to low VOUT adjustable regulator, requiring only four small external components (CIN, COUT, 2 resistors). It is also offered in many popular fixed output voltage versions. It can be used in keep-alive power supplies, which are a key element in memory storage, memory backup, and remote monitoring applications.
