The previous graph is used to calculate the power savings for the three different types of PoE systems, the 2-pair PoE and PoE+, and the 4-pair 90W LTPoE++. As shown here in the last column the efficiency gain is around 3.6%. This power can now be used by the PD to add high-value functionality while still staying within the same PoE class.
