Requiring just three external components, the LTM4624 forms a complete DC to DC step-down solution capable of delivering up to 4A from a 12V or 5V input rail in a single square centimeter of single-sided PCB board space or half a square centimeter dual-sided. Operation from a 3.3V input voltage rail is possible with the addition of an external 4V or greater bias to run the internal control circuitry.
