The 1-Wire communication protocol is comprised of a three phase transaction. It begins with a Master initiated line reset which brings all devices on the 1-Wire line to a known state. The reset sequence is followed  by device selection and device function command. Communication can be conducted in standard or overdrive speeds. For the purpose of this discussion, this PTM will assume that the bus Master or host is communicating with a 1-Wire memory device at standard speed.
