With the PIC24 “GC” family, the design is drastically simplified as shown here. The routing, shielding, and power planes are integrated and debugged in the chip. Additionally, the ADC, DAC, OpAmp, and USB driver are all integrated in the MCU. Ultimately, this lowers cost and space the design is simplified and throughput is increased.
