The Murata ECAS series impedance and ESR characteristics are compared with two different types of tantalum capacitors on this slide. The ECAS series provides lower ESR, particularly in the high frequency area around the series resonant frequency, because of its multilayer structure design and a conductive polymer for the cathode. Due to the low ESR, the ECAS series also has lower impedance which provides better noise suppression or ripple absorption effect, as depicted on the next slide.
