Panel seal options and accessories enable many switches to be used in harsh environments. The panel sealing is enabled with the use of o-rings around the actuators internally and external o-rings to seal the panel. NKK’s W Series of rockers, toggles and pushbuttons feature environmental sealing. Splashproof boots can be used on some switches that do not have panel seal characteristics, dependent on the type of actuation and series.
