Renesas has expanded the TrustZone® technology to more than just the code and data on the system bus. The TrustZone filters apply not only to memory, but also to DMA and DTC functionality to restrict misuse of these buses to access the secure world. The TrustZone feature has also been applied to peripherals and pins. This protects external interfaces and prevents non-secure code from eavesdropping on inputs and overriding outputs.
