Shown here is another application example. In this case, an OpAmp is used for monitoring current detection. To monitor the motor current, a current detection resistor is installed to convert the current into voltage. However, the voltage difference at both ends is very small. The OpAmp amplifies the weak converted signal to a high enough level so that it can be processed by the MCU.
