One of PMLCAP’s useful applications is for high end audio equipment. Shown here this graph indicates an application example of a low-path filtering of Class D digital audio amplifier. In comparison with MLCC, one will notice a significant difference in the curve of total harmonic distortion +N value. MLCC’s give distortion at around the 6kHz range, but PMLCAPs show much less audible distortion resulting in a better audio sound.
