Liquid level reed sensors are fast becoming a preferred level sensing technology of the future. What is driving this is the key reed sensor characteristics. The sensors draw zero voltage and current, no power until they are energized. A sensor can sit for years and never draw any power. In many applications where power is scarce this attribute alone allows them to be designed-in. This includes many battery driven applications.
