Though shape and the mounting method is different, clamp filters are a kind of common mode filter. Clamp filters can suppress only common mode noise that flows through interconnecting cables without attenuating the differential mode current as shown in the example above. TDK’s Clamp filters have stable impedance characteristics without any self resonant frequencies while operating at up to 1GHz.
