Unlike the previous topology, this architecture uses per-channel isolation. Each channel is isolated from adjacent channels through separate DC-DC converters in addition to being digitally isolated from the controller. This architecture would be used on high-end modules to meet channel to channel isolation requirements from various IEC standards.
