There are four major components in a factory environment – HMI (Human machine Interface), PLC (Programmable Logic Control), Motor control and Sensors. The common theme on all these components is that they are inter-connected through industrial communications links. This is the area where TI has a lot of focus to enable efficient and low-cost connectivity on industrial systems developed using Sitara ARM microprocessors.
