The bq25504 is one of TI‘s energy harvesting and solar power family members. Other battery managment family members include the 800 mA bq24210 solar battery charger and the high current (up to 10A) bq24650 solar battery charge controller. These devices are all part of TI‘s many energy harvesting and solar power devices, including the SolarMagic solar charge controller chipset, which joins the TI product family with the National Semiconductor acquistion.
