Dropout voltage indicates the voltage drop of the output voltage relative to the input voltage. A large dropout leads to an increase in power consumption. Toshiba's LDO regulators achieve excellent dropout voltage characteristics with a wide range of dual power supply LDO products using a new generation process. As a result, the desired output voltage can be obtained with a lower input voltage than conventional products, and power consumption is reduced due to the decrease in dropout.
