The Power Metal Strip® construction consists of a resistance element of low TCR alloy that is electron beam welded to a copper terminal. This all metal construction does not require a ceramic substrate, like other technologies, but instead uses a resistance element with a large cross-section that is self-supporting. The lines in the resistance element represent the laser trim cuts that enable a flexible range of resistance values and tight tolerances down to 0.1%.
