The switching applications for TrenchFET Gen IV include single-phase or multi-phase synchronous buck converters, and secondary side synchronous rectification in isolated DC-DC topologies. The low Rds(on) characteristic is also ideal for high current static switch applications such as OR’ing in power redundancy, hot-swap switch, and high current load switch. These devices will also provide very low loss for DC motor drive.
