The REDFIT IDC SKEDD connector allows many possibilities. An example would be as a debugging or programming connector in an automotive application. A common connector needs automotive qualification since one of the mating partners is permanently on the PCB. Using the REDFIT IDC SKEDD connector, the connector is only temporarily on the PCB during the programming or debugging process. After that, the connector is removed so there is no need for automotive certification in this application.
