Here we get into some technical details of the eZ80® Acclaim family. The CPU core has ample performance to deal with demanding applications such as embedded networking. At 50MHz, eZ80® can easily match many of the 16-bit parts in the market place. If they don’t require 32-bit power, many customers just skip 16-bit altogether and use 8-bit eZ80® devices. The core is also compatible with legacy Z80™ software.
