The LM5070 HE (High Efficiency) evaluation board is designed to provide an IEEE802.3af compliant, Power over Ethernet (PoE) power supply.

This document details the characteristics and performances of the PM8800 demonstration kit which has been designed to cover a broad range of power over Ethernet (PoE) applications. PM8800 is a highly integrated device embedding an IEEE802.3af compliant powered device (PD) interface together with a PWM controller and support for auxiliary sources.

Demonstration circuit 1145B, featuring the LTC®4267, provides a complete IEEE 802.3af Powered Device (PD) interface and isolated 12V at 0.9A power supply solution for use in Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications. An optional connection is included for a 12V auxiliary supply on the secondary side that disables PoE when present.

The NCP1081SPCGEVB implements a PoE power splitter that converts the voltage on the Ethernet cable to a lower voltage. The board is equipped with 2 RJ45 connectors, one connector serves as the data and power input and the other connector is the data output. Ethernet data is untouched by the board and simply forwarded.

Demonstration circuit 2093A features the LT®4275, a fourth generation powered device (PD) controller and the LT4321, an ideal diode bridge controller for Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications.

A flyback topology was used to minimize circuit board size, parts count and cost. This topology also provides excellent operating efficiency across the input voltage range.

TPS23754EVM-420 contains evaluation and reference circuitry for the TPS23754. The TPS23754 is an IEEE 802.3at compliant powered device (PD) controller and power supply controller optimized for isolated converter topologies. TPS23754EVM-420 is targeted at 25W, synchronous flyback converter applications.

Ethernet (PoE) power supply.

The power supply features the LM5070 PoE powered device (PD) interface and controller integrated circuit (IC) configured in the versatile flyback topology.

The LM5071 evaluation board is designed to provide a low cost, fully IEEE 802.3af compliant Power over Ethernet (PoE) power supply, capable of operating with both PoE and auxiliary (AUX) power sources.

Demonstration circuit 1335B-C is a high-power supply featuring the LTC®4269IDKD-1. This board acts as an IEEE 802.3at compliant, high power Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), Powered
Device (PD) and connects at the RJ45 to a compatible high power Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) device, such as the DC1366.
