The wick is necessary to return the liquid from the condenser to the evaporator. Wick types can be homogeneous or composite. Homogeneous wicks are constructed of one type of material or machining technique. ATS offers cost effective sintered copper powder and axial groove. Sintered wicks have the added advantage of being able to handle high heat fluxes and deployment in any orientation.
