A major telecom company faced a significant thermal issue in being unable to cool their telecomm modem board at slot eight in their chassis. ATS’ former studies had shown that any of the customer’s boards placed in slot eight would face low flow rates and be a challenge to keep cool. ATS was chartered with developing a solution to optimize the use of the low air flow in slot eight so that the customer’s board would function at the specified levels for optimum performance.
