The AS5601 has an internal LDO, and can therefore be used with 5 V supply or 3.3 V supply. The output update rate and power consumption is given by the selected power mode. In the fastest mode, the current consumption is 6.5 mA and goes down to 1.5 mA at a 100 ms polling time. In addition, there is a feature called watchdog that can be used to automatically switch to the lowest power consumption if there is no activity for one minute.
