The frequency range of the ADF7012 can be adjusted easily using an external inductor to attain 75MHz to 1GHz operation. It is used in battery powered applications because of its low power supply current. Output power ranges from -20 to +14dBm and it supports frequency shift keying (FSK), Gaussian FSK, on/off keying, or Gaussian amplitude shift keying. Using different bias currents, the RF performance can be traded off for battery life.
