Care must be used in the installation and operation of all switches. CW switches will perform properly if they are specified correctly and installed properly. Many causes of switch failure can be avoided by: not exceeding the rated load; not introducing excessive heat during soldering; not altering or disassembling the switch or introducing foreign substances; and not forcing the switch into an incorrect panel opening.
