Shown here is how a supercapacitor can be used in material handling applications: a 3D storage system, automated guided vehicles (AGVs), and long-run AGVs. The primary energy source is the grid, but supercapacitors offer portable energy storage to reduce power consumption. Supercapacitors are suitable for 24 V and up to 90 V applications with power ranging from 300 W to 10 kW for up to tens of seconds to hours of operation on one charge.
