In order to make this experience even easier, ebm-papst created K4 drive system development kits which are perfect for engineers who want to get started using these motors. Two different kits are offered: One with an internal rotor motor, and one with an external rotor motor. The kits include everything needed for hands-on practice controlling speed, positioning, and torque – the user just needs to add a 24V or 48V power supply and a laptop. A detailed operating manual provides step by step instructions for set up and operation, and application engineers are available to provide additional support if needed.
